Mastering the Shift: Practical Strategies to Cultivate a Lasting Abundance Mindset

When you are going through difficulty, it can be annoying to hear someone tell you that abundance is around you. And that's understandable. There's nothing abundant about lack and scarcity. The lack and scarcity you see are a product of your manifestations. It's about paying it forward.

Here's how to cultivate a life of abundance:

1. Re-Examine Your Beliefs and Thought Patterns

Abundance begins with the mind. If you don't believe in it or think in a way that aligns with it, it's not going to happen. If your beliefs are against the abundant life, there's no way you'll be able to create the life you desire.

The world around you and your reality are products of conception. People conceive ideas and then work toward making them a reality. Nothing falls from the sky; things don't just happen. For anything to happen, it has to first be conceived in the mind.

If you want to live in abundance, you need to believe it is possible. You can't continue to expect negative things and lack while hoping for abundance. If you feel like good things never happen to you, they won't. You need to re-examine those negative beliefs.

It's not easy, especially if you grew up in an environment where negative beliefs were the order of the day. Perhaps you were made to believe that you have to toil and work for everything. While effort is important, having an abundant life is about first believing things are possible.

Channel your mind toward receiving. Until you are in a state where you are ready to receive good things, you may not have the inspiration to make your life better. Question your beliefs. Those negative thoughts are holding you back.

2. Count Your Blessings

Count your blessings and name them one by one. You need to live a life of gratitude. You have no idea how lucky or blessed you are. Now is the time to take stock of your blessings and be grateful for what you have.

For more good things to come your way, you need to appreciate the little ones you have. Your so-called little blessings are someone else's prayer points. You are blessed. You’re probably not where you want to be yet, but you're not where you used to be.

Think about where you were a year ago. Thankfully, you are in a better place now. That's something worth celebrating. When you are grateful and appreciative, you open doors for more good things.

Being grateful puts you in a state of mind where you are excited about life. When you are excited, there is no limit to what you can achieve. You wake up motivated to get things done.

The reverse is true if you are not appreciative. You will continue to feel like you don't have enough and that life has been unfair. If you think life is unfair, you might continue to attract that. Appreciate the little things, and bigger things will come.

3. Be Genuinely Happy for Other People

When good things happen to other people, don't be envious. It’s human nature to feel envious sometimes, but you need to shake that off. Be intentional about the things you pay attention to.

When you are genuinely happy for others, you set yourself up in line for success. The good things happening to them will rub off on you naturally. When you're happy for others, there's no room for envy, hatred, or jealousy.

You can't have an abundance mindset if you are continuously envious. Abundance and negativity don't go hand in hand. Good things will happen for you, too, but in the meantime, learn to celebrate with others.

Be part of the party. Your own package will locate you faster than you think. Say no to envy. Control your thoughts and don't let them control your instincts.

When you hear about opportunities, let others know about them. In the same way, others will let you know about opportunities that help you thrive. A scarcity mindset makes you believe success is a limited resource, but there's enough good to go around.

4. Surround Yourself with Abundance-Minded People

The people you hang out with have an impact on you. They influence your life in ways you may not even understand. If you're constantly around negative people who always complain, you will begin to act and think like them.

Be intentional about your circle. If you speak with people who believe in the abundant life, you will become like that. Show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are. This works like magic.

Surround yourself with people who believe there is no scarcity. Find those who aren't jealous and understand that everyone's journey is different. You need people who are excited about what is coming, even if they haven't seen it yet.

Surround yourself with those who believe life is working out for them. If you’re serious about developing an abundance mindset, you have to be intentional about the company you keep.

5. Anticipate the Best Outcomes

In every situation, believe that everything is working out for your highest good. Life may not always be easy, and you might find yourself in situations that cause confusion.

If you have an abundance mindset, you will understand that despite the chaos, everything will be okay. The best will come out of it. Believe that everything playing out is for your benefit.

There is an outcome ahead that will surprise you. If you knew what was on the way, you wouldn't have worried for a second. No matter what, believe it is working out for you.

Don't always anticipate negative things. When something goes wrong, don't say, "I knew it." You are setting yourself up for more bad things. Stay positive and calm in the storm, assured that everything is working out for your highest good.
