Mixing business with pleasure is not the norm, but sometimes, things get out of hand. You and your boss are human. No matter how hard you try to be professional, you may develop feelings. Your boss could be into you and trying to seduce you. There's no place for guessing. Look out for these clear signs to be sure.

1. Constant Willingness to Assist with Your Work

Your boss isn't under any obligation to assist you with your work. They hired you in the first place to assist them and make their work easier. They expect you to understand what you're doing.

It's not their responsibility to coach you from scratch or make you efficient. When they say do this, they expect you to deliver good results. However, they might go the extra mile to help you.

They want you to be the best at what you do. Even when they understand that you have the competence, they are always willing to assist. That’s natural when you're dealing with somebody that you like.

You want to see them thrive even when you know they can handle things. Have you noticed your boss is always willing to assist you? They are constantly asking how it's going and if you need help.

If your boss is genuinely interested in assisting you, they might be crushing. They want to make sure that you do your work well. It's not their obligation to do that for you.

You could get the job done however you want to. All they should want is for you to do a good job. When they secretly crush on you, your business becomes their business.

They don't want you to get stressed out or eat yourself up. If there's anything they can do to assist, they are always there. This is a very strong indicator of their interest.

2. Seeking Your Opinion on Important Decisions

Your boss always seeks your opinion on important decisions and work-related matters. They have the right to make whatever decisions they want to make. They also have the expertise to do so.

If they always ask what you think about this or that, it's because they like you. Your opinion matters to them because they are crushing on you. You always want to pick someone's brain you like.

You want to know what they think about a certain issue. You want to know how they feel about a certain issue, too. If your boss is always asking you questions, they like you.

They want to know where your head is at on certain issues. They don't need your opinion to move forward with their work. They can make decisions by themselves or ask other people.

If they are asking you, it’s because they enjoy talking to you. It gives them pleasure to have these professional interactions with you. That is the reason, not because they can't do without it.

3. Sharing Personal Issues and Private Conversations

They speak with you about their personal issues and private lives. You and your boss are together for work-related reasons. You're there to ensure that their work goes smoothly.

They don't owe you any conversations or explanations about their personal lives. Yet, every now and then, they want to know what you think. They share their personal issues with you directly.

At first, it might come as a surprise to you. You might be wondering why they are telling you these things. They are telling you because they like you and feel safe.

They feel comfortable sharing because they think you would understand. It could be about family or even their relationships. It could be about their finances or anything bothering them.

They just want to talk to you because it makes them feel better. They have no business talking to you about their personal issues. If they do it, it comes from a place of admiration.

They want to get to know you on a deeper level. If your boss shares their personal issues with you every now and then, take note. They are secretly crushing on you.

4. Generosity with Compliments and Positive Feedback

They are very generous with compliments toward you in the office. Your boss can hardly go a day without complimenting you on something. It could be your clothes or your performance at work.

They are eager to complement you and don't hold back at all. They want you to know when you do something remarkable. They want to let you know when things are interesting.

If your boss always points out your strengths, they might be crushing. It's not every day you find a boss generous with compliments. Most are not like that toward their subordinates.

If your boss does that always, you can tell it is genuine. You see their face light up when they speak to you. You can tell that they really mean what they say.

They aren't just trying to massage your ego to make you feel better. They are saying it because they actually mean it. They want you to know how great or awesome you are.

5. Giving Personal Gifts and Thoughtful Presents

Has your boss ever bought you a present every now and then? When somebody likes you, they naturally want to give you stuff. They want to do something for you to make you happy.

Under normal circumstances, your boss doesn't owe you any presents. It's not their responsibility to give you things. When they give you little presents, it is a sign.

If they go out of their way for your birthday, take notice. It could be a simple gift or even a cake. Some organizations have policies where they celebrate everyone’s birthday.

It is different when your boss takes it upon himself to do something. It’s a sign he likes you as a person, not a subordinate. He isn't obligated to do it by the company rules.

When you achieve a milestone, he might gift you something personally. I'm talking about presents not tied to their role as your boss. If they got you something nice, they appreciate you.

They are not obligated to do it, as you're just doing your job. If your boss is nice enough to get you presents, they like you. They're trying to let you know you're important to them.

That could be their own way of letting you know they admire you. They're crushing on you and would be happy to take things further. Under the right circumstances, they might actually do so.
