With the skies dropping tears daily, making your fashion swag could be out of the road. You wear perfect makeup but the pregnant cloud threatens to wash it away; you want to slay with that newly bought dress but when you look out from your window, the emergency River Niger tells you "no".
And then, you conclude that the rainy season "dulls" your swag. However, you can up your game this period if you'd heed this advice.
Here’s how to maintain your fashion game in the rainy season.
1. Fly your muffler
Mufflers are known to add swag to your dressing when the colours are in rhythm like "ewa agoyin" (bread) and beans. They also ensure that your neck region is shielded from the biting cold weather; providing you the needed warmth.
Just go out there and pick from the variety of mufflers and you'd surely not be disappointed.
2. Get a rubber footwear
Rubber footwear, contrary to opinions, is not for the poor. You need to see the designs some rubber footwears come in - they are so good to the extent that sporting the difference between them and leather footwear has become hard.
Instead of dipping that expensive "swead" shoes into the mud, why not get rubber footwear and save the offensive odor and damage such water could have on your footwear?
3. Wear shorter skirts
You'd want your trousers or clothes to mop up the water in your street and thus wearing a shorter dress (at most slightly below the ankle), would save the day for you.
4. Use a head warmer
The rain comes with a cold. Aside from that, you can't tell when it'd meet you. This makes it necessary to have your hair warmer: to keep you warm and also to keep your hair (for the ladies mostly) from being soaked in rain. I bet you don't savour the odour from your hair when it's soaked with water.
5. Wear a sweater
When rightly selected, cardigans/sweaters complement your dressing in addition to making you stay warm. Always go to work with one, it would increase your swag and banish the cold.
When next you're dressing up, check this list and ensure you dress according to the weather for even the Holy book says, "there's time for everything!"
Don't lament about the season, adjust your dressing and you'd sure enjoy the season! You can still be fashionable in the rainy season with a little twist here and there.
