Nelson Mandela Laid to Rest in Ancestral Home

The late South Africa’s first black President Nelson Mandela who died on December 5, 2013, aged 95, has been laid to rest in his ancestral Home Qunu, a few days after the state funeral service which attracted world leaders and dignitaries.
It was reported that over 4000 people from all spheres of life where present at the lying in state to pay their final respect to the late African hero. His remains was carried in a casket by the military as family, friends and guests marched along to the graveside.

Unlike the very big state funeral service organised, the family of the former President requested that only a reasonable crowd be present at the burial.

Rest in Peace, Mandela.
